Menopausal Management

At OB-GYN ASSOCIATES, INC. we have many years of experience helping our patients cope with the changes of menopause. Menopause is a natural part of aging but can be a turbulent time characterized by changing menstrual cycles, hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, emotional instability and problems sleeping. Every woman is unique and has a different response to the menopause. Some women have very few symptoms and seem to glide through it. Other women have very severe bleeding problems or other symptoms.

There are different therapies for menopausal symptoms and our health care professionals can help you choose from them. General measures to help you transition to the menopause are eating a well balanced diet, including 1500mg Calcium and 800 IU of Vitamin D a day, exercising regularly, and avoiding smoking. Hormonal therapy may also be an option. This should be discussed with your provider.

At OB-GYN ASSOCIATES, INC. we have several physicians who are practicing gynecology only and have special interest in menopause (see Our Providers).
